You can easily create and manage menus for your website directly from the WordPress dashboard or through the Customizer for a live preview.
Method 1 — Customizer (Live Preview)
- Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
- Navigate to:
Appearance → Customize → Menus - Here you can:
- Create a new menu
- Add pages, posts, categories, custom links, or custom post types to your menu
- Organize menu items with simple drag-and-drop
- Assign the menu to available theme locations (e.g. Primary Menu, Footer Menu, etc.)
- Click Publish to save your changes.
Method 2 — WordPress Dashboard
- Go to:
Appearance → Menus - Click Create a new menu.
- Enter a Menu Name and click Create Menu.
- Use the options on the left to add Pages, Posts, Custom Links, Categories, or other content.
- Arrange menu items using drag-and-drop.
- Under Menu Settings → Display location, assign the menu to your desired theme location.
- Click Save Menu to apply your changes.
Tip: You can create multi-level dropdown menus by dragging menu items slightly to the right beneath a parent item.
